Athina Rikaki
Biography
Athina Rikaki was born in 1935 in Greece. Graduated from Teachers Training Academy of Arsakeion in Athens, then continued her studies in the sphere of Environmental Education, Art Education, Extracurricular Activities and Media Literacy.

Educator, TV producer and publisher of books and magazines for children. Athina Rikaki is a member of the CIFEJ Board of Trustees and was President of CIFEJ for 7 years. She is a creator of the European Children’s Television Centre, which organized from 1994 to 2004 the Agora Med, the meeting of the audiovisual professionals from all over the world, who are innovators in media production for children and in media literacy. Rikaki has organized the Kids for Kids Festival, an independent festival of films made by and for children, which was developed in the framework of the Agora and is under the auspices of CIFEJ. Presently A. Rikaki collaborates with Foundation of the Hellenic Wold in the field of promotion of cultural and educational material.
