Slovakunitedimaginations

The Slovakunitedimaginations project presents Slovak illustrations in a sample of artistic quality of 160 works from 60 children´s books by 32 authors. The collection´s content includes all generations, from the youngest to the oldest. The exposition displays the scope of authors from the Biennal of Illustrations Bratislava 1967-2009. It also includes the generation of the founding Slovak illustration school, represented by Albín Brunovský and Vincent Hložník, as well as the contrasting work of the youngest group of illustrators, who, however, stand upon tradition while making natural use of the modern creative rendition of the story.
