At this seminar, history of the BIB is presented by its founder Dr. Dušan Roll. The first biennial in 1967 presented 320 authors from 25 countries. The most recent year, 2009, presented 344 illustrators from 37 countries. During the BIB´s 43-year existence 6,507 illustrators from 103 countries attended the event, 52,777 original illustrations with over 8,000 books were displayed.
