The national event is organised as part of the celebrations of the International Children's Book Day. Its main objectives are meetings of book authors with children in schools and libraries, a professional lecture for pedagogues and librarians and expositions of books and illustrations for children and youth. Part of the event were 50 Years of Mladé Letá Publisher and Illustrators Awarded at BIB ´99 expositions.
