Ľudovít Fulla Award 2012, Triplerose Award 2012, and IBBY Honour List 2012

The Fine Art Fund, Slovak IBBY Section, and BIBIANA, International House of Art for Children awarded Dušan Grečner with the Ľudovít Fulla Award 2012 for his sci-fi illustrations for children which stimulate children´s imagination and, at the same time, offer brilliant situational humour.

The Triplerose Award recognises outstanding literary and literary science works, or existing portfolios of works, which significantly contributed towards development of Slovak literature for children and youth.

The Fine Art Fund, Slovak IBBY Section, and BIBIANA, International House of Art for Children awarded Július Balco with the Triplerose Award 2012 for his literary work which explains to young and adult readers meaningful values of human life in an innovative and colloquial manner. The award for literature and illustration has been presented since 1965.

The IBBY Honour List 2012 is awarded by the International Board on Books for Young People – IBBY at UNESCO to an author, illustrator, or translator for a book for children and youth which was published in the last two years. National IBBY sections submit proposals for the diplomas in two year intervals.

Diplomas of the IBBY Honour List 2012 were awarded to:

Ján Milčák for the book Jakub s veľkými ušami (Jacob with Big Ears) - Modrý Peter Publisher;

Juraj Martiška and Maximka Martišková for illustrations in the book Krajinka s koníkom (Landscape with a Little Horse) – Perfekt Publisher; 

Zuzana Stanislavová for translation of the book by Iva Procházková Päť minút pred večerou (Five Minutes before Dinner) - Q111 Publisher.
