BIBIANA

This is a re-installation of the interactive exposition.

One of the most repeated sentences we hear in childhood is: “We do not play with food!” But why is it we cannot play with it? After all, discovering answers to various queries can be fun… “Where does food emerge from?” or “What happens with food inside our bodies?” or even “How long is the journey of the groceries until they reach our tables?” You will find out the answers in BIBIANA and Sladovna by playing around!

The main purpose of this interactive exposition is to show children the phenomenon of food and eating in a non-traditional and playful fashion (from the preparation of meals, history of dining, various traditions to revealing the secrets of what the human body absorbs from food and how this is done). In each section, children can directly contribute and touch the displays.

The exposition is co-produced with BIBIANA, International House of Art for Children in Bratislava, but because the rooms in BIBIANA are much smaller, we designed additional games specially for Sladovna.

Even though the exposition is mainly focused on children, there are various accompanying events, workshops, and tours with commentary for adults.
