The Room of Reading takes the children to the universe of the tale Beauty and the Beast, providing a close look of well-known, but still mysterious characters. What are those creatures like? Can one live near them? Will be understand them? How would we feel in their presence? What do (don't) we see from their lives? We will try it out - how it probably is? In our voyage through the story we will focus on studying the characters, with the help of symbolic hints/links and scenography/costume objects. First of all however, it will be our sensitive heart. We will find ourselves in situations where we will decide whether we stay close to them or rather retreat. The Room of Reading is the result of a joint research project within the study course Alternative puppeteering and its theory at the DAMU theatre academy in Prague.
