BIB AT THE SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL LIBRARY FAIR 2019

The Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava was again presented in November 2019 at the International Book Fair for Children in Shanghai. It is the only specialized book fair for children and youth in the Pacific Asia, where over 500 domestic and foreign exhibitors take part in the large modern exhibition and congress center in Shanghai. For the fourth time, CBBY, Shandong Education Press and IBBY organized a presentation of illustrated books awarded at the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava. Shandong Education Press presented books by Han Tain illustrators, Finland, Alice Sottler, Slovenia, Yooyun Yoo, South Korea, Rashun Rheriyeh, Iran, Piet Grobler, UK and Myung ae Lee from South Korea. The event also included an exhibition of books and illustrations awarded at BIB, a conference about contemporary illustrative works and a discussion with Chinese illustrators and publishers. The event was also attended by the Executive Director of IBBY Liz Page, BIB  General Commissioner Zuzana Jarošová, CBBY representatives, publishers, illustrators, writers and media representatives.
