Slovak art without borders: Illustrators awarded at the Biennial in Bratislava exhibit in the heart of Montenegro!
The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Podgorica, in cooperation with the Cultural Center in the former Montenegrin royal capital of Cetinje and BIBIANA – International House of Art for Children – have jointly prepared an exhibition entitled
"Award-winning Slovak Illustrators 1967–2023."
The grand opening of the exhibition took place on June 13, 2025, at the Cetinje Cultural Center in the presence of Boris Gandel, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Montenegro, and Petra Flach, Director of BIBIANA.
The exhibition presents a selection of works by Slovak illustrators who have been awarded prizes at the prestigious Bratislava Biennial of Illustration (BIB) – one of the world's most important events dedicated to children's book illustration – over the course of more than five decades.
