An evening dedicated to Italian illustrations that won awards at the Bratislava Biennial of Illustrations (1967-2009).
Thanks to Bibiana's valuable contribution, the Italian Embassy organized an evening dedicated to illustrations that won or received honorable mentions, thus standing out in previous editions of the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration from the 1960s to the present. Seventeen illustrations were exhibited in the multifunctional space of the embassy, and visitors could admire the mastery of our illustrators and the development of their work over the decades. Among them were works by Lorenzo Innocenti, three-time winner, and Lorenzo Mattotti, the only winner of the Grand Prix, the most prestigious award of the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration.
The event was opened by Ambassador De Felice together with Bibiana director Petra Flach and was attended by Slovak illustrators, biennial organizers, and selected children's book publishers, among others. The evening was a great success, reflecting the fruitful cooperation between the embassy and Slovak cultural institutions, including in innovative areas.
