CALLIGRAPHY=BEAUTIFUL WRITING - State Scientific Library, Banská Bystrica

The calligraphy exhibition is actually an exhibition about calligraphy. It presents how writing developed over the centuries in different parts of the world. Visitors can write text in cuneiform script, compose picture sentences from hieroglyphs, or practice decorative writing with a brush or cut pen. In the land of scribes, they will visit a castle scribe's office, an Arab scribe's desert tent, and a Chinese calligrapher's pagoda. For those who cannot yet write, there is the most famous alphabet - the Painted Alphabet, written for children by Ján Smrek.
