On March 12, 2026, representatives of BIBIANA and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic attended the opening of the exhibition “Czech Illustrators Honored at BIB 1967–2025” at the OOA-S (Copyright Protection Organization) in Prague. The Czech school of children’s book illustration ranks among the founding and most significant illustration schools in the world, boasting the longest tradition. Over the entire history of BIB, they have won 19 awards, 5 Honorable Mentions for publishers, 9 Plaques, 4 Golden Apples, and 1 Grand Prix.
At the opening, attended by many artists from the Czech scene, including Japanese artist Iku Dekune, a cooperation agreement was also signed with the OOA-S organization.
Its goal is to support the international development of illustration and animation, which bring high-quality art from around the world to children. The exhibition will run until May 31, 2026.
