Award-winning Illustrators at BIB 2025 – Bologna Book Fair

Bologna Children’s Book Fair – The 63rd edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair took place from April 13–16, 2026, and was attended by BIBIANA, the International House of Art for Children.  The fair offers a unique opportunity to meet with top executives from IBBY, its partner organizations, and the creators of Bookbird magazine, as well as the chance to establish new collaborations with partners and participate in professional discussions promoting reading and the development of children’s literature. BIBIANA representatives presented the collection of winning BIB 2025 illustrations, including all publication materials, at the fair and also participated in several bilateral meetings. At the IBBY press conference held on April 13, 2026, the results of the “Hans Christian Andersen Award 2026” competition were announced. The award went to British author Michael Rosen for literature and Chinese illustrator Cai Gao for illustration.
