Albín Brunovský’s international workshop, which has been an integral part of the Bratislava Illustration Biennial for 40 years, was initially organized for young illustrators from developing countries; today, it is open to young illustrators from around the world. This year’s workshop was led by Miroslav Regitko, a renowned illustrator and former student of Dušan Kállay. A group of eleven young female artists created works on the theme “A Bug in the Head.” The participants drew inspiration from the fascinating world of insects, which offers an endless variety of shapes, colors, and symbolism.
