International Symposium BIB 2025

The BIB 2025 International Symposium was a key professional platform of the jubilee 30th Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava. It brought together leading domestic and international theorists, art historians, illustrators, and experts in children's book culture. The central theme was: "How BIB has influenced the form of picture books worldwide and what its significance and mission are today." On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the biennial's founding (1967), the program focused on a critical reflection of its history and contribution. The objective of the professional presentations was to analyze the transformations of illustration, reflect on current trends, and explore new perspectives for the theory of visual arts for children.
