AWARD-WINNING ILLUSTRATORS AT BIB 25 – SNK Martin

At the ‘Award-Winning Illustrators at BIB 2025’ exhibition, an expanded version features two illustrations by each recipient of a statutory award: the BIB 2025 Grand Prix, five BIB 2025 Golden Apples, four BIB 2025 Plaques and, this year, four Honourable Mentions for publishers. In addition, the winner of the non-statutory Children’s Jury Prize is also featured. At this year’s BIB 2025, artists from nine countries across Europe, South America, Asia and Africa received awards. Among the award winners was the prominent Slovak artist Peter Uchnár, who has taken part in every edition since 1999, with the exception of BIB 2023. Having previously won the Golden Apple, two Children’s Jury Prizes – as one of only two artists in the history of the Biennale to do so – and the Mayor of Bratislava’s Prize, he was awarded the BIB 2025 Plaque at this year’s Biennale.

The exhibition is open from 12 August to 9 October 2026 in Martin.
