Veronika Cabadajová

Veronika Cabadajová was born on the 10^th of August 1984 in the town of Malacky. She studied at the School of Applied Arts in Bratislava, with a focus on the advertising arts and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, at the Department of Printmaking, in the Studio of the Book Art under the supervision of Professor Dušan Kállay.

Veronika Cabadajová belongs to younger representatives of the Slovak school of illustrators.  During her studies she participated in several book projects. She has a special liking for free imaginary creations in drawing and printmaking techniques. Her illustrations are vivid and playful and they are visually attractive for children as readers. She places her figures in a real, though a bit stylized environment. She captures characters of her figures through their typology. She uses vivid pastel colours with subtle transitional tones of colour shades, which contributes to the pleasant impression from her illustrations. Currently she works as a teacher at the School of Applied Arts in Bratislava.
