Illustration Features
Maria Neradova studied the book illustration with prof. Dušan Kállay and the graphic design at the University of Tomáš Baťa in Zlín. She belongs to the youngest generation of Slovak Illustrators. The fact that her illustrations have been selected for the book "1000 Illustrations for Children" and received numerous awards witness a high quality of her work. The expression of her apparently simple and naive colour pictures make them very inviting to young readers. As most of her illustrations are dedicated to small children, the stylization of both human and animal figures is adjusted to their perception. A vivid colour scale amplifies the overall positive effect of her illustrations. Neradova mostly applies the digital techniques to her illustration work.
Other areas of creation
Besides the book illustration Maria Neradova devotes to writing and graphic design.
